    Dillon Fence History

Dillon Fence, hailing from the vibrant music scene of North Carolina, was formed in the late 1980s. The band consists of three members: frontman and guitarist Greg Pollard, bassist and vocalist, and drummer, both of whom contribute richly to the band’s sound. They quickly made a name for themselves in the alternative rock and roots-rock genres, characterized by their infectious melodies and heartfelt lyrics. Their self-titled debut album was released in 1991, featuring a blend of rock, Americana, and Southern influences that resonated well with audiences. Throughout the 1990s, Dillon Fence gained acclaim in the indie music circuit, touring extensively and performing at various music festivals and venues across the country. Despite their significant underground following, mainstream success eluded them, leading to a hiatus in the early 2000s. In 2005, they made a triumphant return with a well-received album, revitalizing their connection with long-time fans and garnering new ones. Over the years, Dillon Fence has played a critical role in shaping the sound of alternative music in the South and continues to be revered for their contributions to the genre.
