Deicide History
Deicide is an American death metal band formed in 1987 in Tampa, Florida. Known for their aggressive musical style and controversial lyrics, the band was pivotal in the development of the death metal genre. The founding members included Glen Benton, the band's iconic bassist and vocalist, alongside brothers Eric and Brian Hoffman on guitar, and drummer Steve Asheim. They debuted with their self-titled album in 1990, but their second album, 'Legion,' released in 1992, solidified their place within the metal community, featuring some of their most infamous tracks.
