    Live is a rock band formed in York, Pennsylvania, in 1984. Originally known as 'Public Affection,' they adopted the name Live in 1991. The band gained international fame with their 1994 album, 'Throwing Copper,' which featured hits like 'I Alone' and 'Lightning Crashes.' The album sold over eight million copies in the United States alone and propelled them to the forefront of the alternative rock scene during the 90s. Over the years, Live has experienced various lineup changes, but lead vocalist Ed Kowalczyk's poignant lyrics and distinctive voice remain central to their identity. The band disbanded in 2009 but reunited in 2011, marking a new chapter in their lengthy career.
