The Pepsi Center is Denver, Colorado's multi-purpose sports and entertainment arena. This venue has been used for many major events. It provides live NHL action with Colorado Avalance tickets and high flying NBA action by way of Denver Nuggets tickets. The venue also plays host to the National Lacrosse League's Colorado Mammoth. With breathtaking views of the Rockies in the distance, and various hockey and basketball players depicted on a suspended sculpture, the Pepsi Center is truly a sight to behold. This venue first opened in 1999 with a Celine Dion concert, and since then it has been continually upgraded, resulting in the top of the line facility that we have today. This venue took roughly 21 months to build, and it cost a staggering $180 million, which came from private funds.
All throughout the year, people flock to the Pepsi Center to get a taste of its wonderful facilities while enjoying the work of their favorite sports or music personalities. In the coming few weeks, the Center will host a series of basketball games between fan favorites, such as Denver Nuggets and the Sacramento Kings, Colorado Avalanche and the Dallas Stars and the Washington Wizards against the Denver Nuggets. Upcoming musical events will see major artists like Charli XCX and Bruno Mars come to town and you wouldn’t want to miss it. Grab your Pepsi Center tickets at the earliest!
Pepsi Center Events
With 18,007 seats, The Pepsi Center is certainly thriving – hosting over 200 events in a year. The expert staff there is capable of transforming the venue quickly from a sports arena to a rock concert venue in a matter of hours. For this reason, the Pepsi Center has hosted a wide range of major events including everything from raucous professional wrestling to the 2008 Democratic National Convention. Versatility is an important quality for a sports and entertainment complex to have, and the Pepsi Center has it in spades. Let’s take a look at some of the events the venue has hosted:
- The International Convention and Contests of the Barbershop Harmony Society were held at the Pepsi Center in early July, 2007. This men’s singing organization promotes and preservers the art of barbershop music.

In preparation of this event, the center underwent a massive transformation that saw the installation of a lot of new equipment. The backup generator installed for this Convention was enough to power the entire city of Pueblo, Colorado.
- UFC 135 and UFC 150, the mixed martial arts events took place on 24th September, 2011 and 11th August, 2012, respectively.
