Paul Frederic Simon is and American singer-songwriter and an actor. Simon was born on October 13, 1941. His Musical career began in 1957 at the age of 16. In 1964 he formed the famous duo Simon & Garfunkel. Paul Simon was responsible for writing most the duo’s songs. He wrote 3 songs that his the number one spot on the U.S. singles chart: “The Sound of Silence”, “Mrs. Robinson”, and “Bridge Over Troubled Water”.

The duo split up in 1970 . After the split Simon recorded three critically acclaimed albums one being Graceland. He starred and wrote the film One-Trick Pony. He went on after that to co-write a Broadway musical The Capeman.

Paul Simon won 16 Grammys for both his solo and his duo career. In 2001, Paul Simon was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. In 2015, Rolling Stone Magazine named his as one of the Top 100 Songwriters of all Time.
