About the Ogden Theatre

Opened in 1919, by the owner of the Bluebird Theater John Thompson. The venue was known to host many musicals acts. Profoundly known for the weekly organ recitals. In addition they hosted numerous lectures, dance recitals, and even magic shows. Harry Houdini performed there in the theater's earlier days. The theater was turned into a movie theater in 1937.

It wasn’t until 1992 when the building was bought by Doug Kauffman who had the vision of turning the theater into a premier music venue. Today the venue holds around a 100 acts every year and has become a well-known theater in Denver, Colorado.
