Those looking for NRG Stadium (Formerly Reliant Stadium) tickets may find it hard to believe that this Houston dome isn’t the brand new venue in the league anymore. Seems like just yesterday it (and the franchise that it houses) were unveiled in 2002 to great views and tons of fan enthusiasm. Since then many more stadiums have popped up in its wake, but NRG (formerly Reliant) remains one of the top stadiums in the NFL. Houston Texans tickets will be a fantastic investment in 2015.
And the team? They’re pretty good, too. Many are excited to see what defensive end Jadaveon Clowney can give them after a rookie season that was cut far too short thanks to injury. And his partner on the line, JJ Watt, is one of the best defensive players of all time. Watching him terrorize opposing quarterbacks up-close-and-personal is one of the must-have experiences for any football fans’ bucket lists.
Featuring 71,500 strong and the NFL’s first retractable roof (a common entity nowadays that was revolutionary at the time), NRG is a phenomenal place to catch an NFL game. The place is easily accessible from downtown Houston. Parking is spacious and affordable, and public transportation options are available as well.
Tailgating before games is a widespread tradition, and the concession stands feature all the Texas BBQ options that your stomach can ask for. The beer list isn’t as varied as some trendier cities, but there’s plenty of domestic (Bud, Coors, Miller) and foreign (Dos Equis, Heineken) beverages from which to choose. Simply put, there’s few returns on investment that compare to buying a ticket to NRG Stadium in 2015.
