Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds are a band originally from Melbourne, Australia, that first formed in London in 1983. In the time since then, they have sold out hundreds of shows all around the world. Their international prosperity is beyond comparison, with nearly 15 studio albums and over a dozen band members since their first record.
In 1984, Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds released From Her to Eternity. It was the first of five albums that they would put out in the 1980s alone (including two albums in 1986: Kicking Against the Pricks and Your Funeral… My Trial).
The Band Begins to Change
The next decade, Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds would put out another five records, giving their fans an incredible wealth of new music to gorge on. Of all their efforts in those years, The Good Son, Henry’s Dream, Murder Ballads (which was their highest selling album), and The Boatman’s Call really stand out.
It was at this time that Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds really began to break out as a monstrous draw. They played all over the world, from New York City to Sao Paulo, Brazil, and really began incorporating new sounds and noises into their music.
More recently, Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds have released another five albums since 2000. Their most recent effort has been Push the Sky Away, which was released almost 30 years after their debut album came out.
