The Devils You Know…
The Devils began play in 1982 after moving from Kansas City via Colorado. Since the move, the Devils have qualified for the post-season all but four times, made it all the way to the Finals five times and won three Stanley Cups.
While the Devils had enjoyed some success prior to the arrival of Martin Brodeur, the 1993-94 Calder Trophy winner (awarded to the league’s best rookie) has been the face of the organization through these glory years. Entering his 20th season with the Devils, Brodeur has shattered just about every important record and is on his way to a mind-boggling 700 wins.
While the Devils made it all the way to the finals in 2012 where they lost to the Los Angeles Kings, it’s now been eleven years since their last Stanley Cup trophy and Devils fans are more than ready for another run. With the legendary Brodeur likely in the twilight of his Hall of Fame career, the Devils shored up the position with the signing of Cory Schneider. On the other end of the ice, the Devils will have to make up for the massive loss of Ilya Kovalchuk. In come a resurgent Jaromir Jagr, Michael Ryder and Ryane Clowe to fill the void. Make no mistake, this is a very different team – but if history teaches us anything, it’s that you NEVER count out the Devils.
After almost 30 years in the Meadowlands, the Devils moved to Newark in 2007 following the construction of the glimmering Prudential Center. With sweeping views of the city, stellar food options and a passionate fan base, there’s nothing not to like about a hockey game at the Rock. At ScoreBig.com, you’ll find guaranteed savings on tickets to see one of the finest organizations in the NHL.Whether the Devils are playing their fierce rival New York Rangers or Philadelphia Flyers or not, the atmosphere inside Prudential Center is always good times.
