    MotoAmerica Superbikes History

MotoAmerica, the official motorcycle road racing series in the United States, was founded in 2014 by former racer Wayne Rainey, along with partners Chuck Aksland and Richard Varner. The organization was formed to revitalize professional motorcycle racing in America after the collapse of the AMA Pro Racing series. MotoAmerica quickly gained traction by showcasing a variety of racing classes, including the premier Superbike category, which features powerful machines capable of reaching speeds over 200 mph. The series has evolved significantly since its inception, bringing together top talents from around the globe, including former MotoGP and WSBK riders. The championship has also focused on fostering young talent through its support classes and has gained a reputation for being the stepping stone to higher levels of motorcycle racing. The introduction of the MotoAmerica Superbike Championship has provided a platform for manufacturers like Yamaha, Suzuki, Kawasaki, and Ducati to compete at the highest level, leading to increased interest and investment in American motorcycle racing.
