Linkin Park Tickets

Sorry, there are no events.

They have played sold-out shows in some of the most famous venues around the world and have won multiple awards, including two Grammys. Plus, they have amassed record sales of over one hundred million worldwide and were called the ‘Biggest Rock Band in the World Right Now’ by Kerrang! in 2014. They are none other than Linkin Park. Starting their journey at the beginning of the millennium, they have now become a global phenomenon.

Earlier in 2017, members of Linkin Park decided to experiment with their signature nu metal sound and introduced elements of electronic rock to their music. The new sound dominates their latest record, ‘One More Light.’ Even though the album received lukewarm response from the critics, it managed to get the nod of approval from the fans thanks to its songs like, Talking to Myself and Good Goodbye.

The band might go on tour this year after recovering from the untimely death of their front man Chester Bennington. Stay tuned if you would want to buy Linkin Park tickets when they hit the road again.

Early Days & Influences

When Linkin Park started their journey, little did they know they would go on to become one of the most influential acts in the history of alternative rock music. The group was formed by three friends, Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson and Rob Bourdon. They later added Dave Farrell, Mark Wakefield and Joe Hahn to the line-up. They started off playing gigs under the name, Xero. In 1996, they decided to produce a four-track demo tape but it failed to land them a record deal. Soon, the lead vocalist, Wakefield left the group and his spot was taken by Chester Bennington.

After Bennington joined the band, the group decided to change its name to Hybrid Theory. They soon released their first extended play, ‘Hybrid Theory EP’ in 1999 which consisted of six tracks. They distributed this EP across internet chat-rooms and forums. They later changed the name of the band to Linkin Park and began to develop their sound. The group doesn’t confine its music to a single genre. In an interview, Linkin Park stated,

We obviously learned from those that came before us, who experimented with blending genres. There were so many, like Zeppelin, Run DMC, Public Enemy, The Beatles, Rage Against The Machine. We were a product of a lot of things.

As far as influences are concerned, the band has been inspired by Nine Inch Nails, Aphex Twins, Deftones and The Roots.

Breakthrough & Recognition

Linkin Park have been leading the alternative rock music scene from the get-go. It was in 2000 when the band impressed everyone with its debut studio album, ‘Hybrid Theory.’ The LP became one of their best selling records to date as it went eleven times platinum in the US. Moreover, the album became extremely popular all over the world and made it to Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s ‘The Definitive 200’ list. It also gave four singles out of which In the End made Loudwire’s list of the ‘Top 21st Century Hard Rock Songs.’ Another track, Crawling won a Grammy Award for the ‘Best Hard Rock Performance.’

Linkin Park continued to build on their success and became an even bigger name when they dropped four consecutive number one albums, ‘Meteora,’ ‘Minutes to Midnight,’ ‘A Thousand Suns’ and ‘Living Things.’ All of these studio albums sold millions of copies throughout the world and also received overwhelmingly positive response from the critics.

The band has so far won five American Music Awards, four Echo Awards and ten MTV Europe Music Awards. They have also influenced many big names like, Evanescence, 3OH!3, Stormzy and Kiiara to name a few.

Linkin Park Tickets 2017

In May 2017, Linkin Park came out with their seventh studio album, ‘One More Light.’ What makes this LP different from the rest of their records is that it includes songs influenced by pop rock and electropop sounds, something that they have never tried before. Despite getting mixed reviews from the critics, the album charted at the first spot on the Billboard 200 and gave a popular single, Heavy which was certified gold by the RIAA.

Two months after the release of, ‘One More Light,’ tragedy struck when the lead singer, Chester Bennington passed away. Since his death, the group has put everything on hold. Many stars including, Kiiara, Jay-Z, Imagine Dragons, Coldplay and Aaron Lewis along with the remaining members of Linkin Park have paid their tributes to the late singer. As of now, they do not plan on touring but have announced that they will be hosting a public event in Los Angeles to honor Bennington.
