Kane Brown hasn’t even spent half a decade in country music and yet that hasn’t stopped him being discussed in the boardrooms of big record labels in Nashville. For a young guy to do what he has done in such a short span of time requires a lot of talent and Brown has that in abundance. He is a stellar talent and if he keeps his feet on the ground and keeps on working hard, there is no limit to what he can achieve.
Kane Brown has a busy live touring schedule lined up for the next few months. Not only will he be performing live on his own, he will also hit the road for Chris Young’s “Losing Sleep 2018 World Tour” from Jan of 2018. Add a few scheduled performances at some major festivals to the line-up and this is what dreams are made of for his legion of fans. If you are one of them, then grab your Kane Brown tickets and watch one of the fastest rising stars in country music, live.
The Beginnings
Kane Brown’s family moved quite a lot when he was young and as a result of that he attended quite a lot of schools while growing up. At one of those schools he used to sing choir with American Idol’s season 10’s runner-up, Lauren Alaina. Brown used to listen to a lot of country music when he was growing up, but his focus shifted to R&B when he was in middle school.
He then went on to perform Getting’ You Home, a track by Chris Young at a school event and won the competition. That is when he took up country music. He also auditioned for the X-Factor and while he got selected, he left the show because the producers wanted him to become a part of a band. Brown then went on to post his versions of various hit tracks online.
The Start of the Journey
Kane Brown’s videos began to generate quite a lot of buzz on social media platforms. He performed Check Yes or No, the George Strait track and the video was viewed over a whopping seven million times. He then posted a teaser of his own track Used to Love You Sober on Facebook and it got viewed more than a million times in less than three hours.
Brown released an EP “Closer” and it went to the twenty second spot on the Top Country Albums chart on its debut. Next, he came out with a single titled Used to Love You Sober and the track peaked at the second spot on the Country Digital Songs. Brown released a few more songs and then also went on to open for Florida Georgia Line on their famous Dig Your Roots Tour.
Brown landed a record deal with Sony Music Nashville. He came out with an EP “Chapter 1” in March of 2016. The record went to the ninth spot on the Billboard 200 and to the third position on the Top Country Albums.
The Debut Album
The stage was now set for Brown to come out with his first studio album and the result was a self-titled effort. “Kane Brown” hit the music stores on December 2, 2016 and it became a massive hit. The record and the tracks went on to the top spot of all five main Billboard country charts. It marked the first time an artist had managed to achieve the feat. The record has been certified gold in the US. He recorded the track What Ifs with Lauran Alaina and the song has been certified platinum.
