Justin Moore’s sound is a throwback to the good old years of country music. His star has been on the rise and he has built his career on traditional country sounds. This is not to say he is afraid to experiment. He has added a tinge of pop to some of his songs like Somebody Else Will and that has brought him quite a lot of acclaim.
Moore is taking it one step at a time and that has been his mantra ever since he began his journey. Now he has hit the road for his “Hell on a Highway Tour” and will be performing all across the country this year. Born in Poyen, Arkansas, Moore began to sing when he was just two years old. He won a singing competition when he was just eight years old. He started to sing gospel, meanwhile listening to country music. Moore wanted to know everything there was to know about the genre.
After high school, he moved to Nashville in 2002. There he met Jeremy Stover, a producer and it was Stover who introduced Moore to Scott Borchetta. Borchetta was about to launch The Valery Music Co. and was highly impressed by what Moore had to offer. He assured Moore of a recording deal.
In the middle of 2008, Moore’s patience paid dividends and he signed with the Valery Music Group. Moore then went on to release I Could Kick Your Ass as a digital single. Then came the track Back That Thing Up that went on to peak at the thirty eighth spot on the US Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.
