About JoJo Siwa
If you’re in grade school, or you are a parent of someone in grade school, chances are you know all about JoJo Siwa. This TV and Internet sensation is taking big steps and leaving an impact on this world at a very young age. Fans will be ecstatic to know that the star has set her first ever live concert tour! JoJo has had quite the experience in entertainment before hitting the stage, though. She is known for her appearance on the renowned TV Show Dance Moms, her hit singles “Boomerang” and “I Can Make U Dance”, her daily vlogging YouTube channel, her work on nickelodeon… pretty much any platform you can think of! She gave a sugary-sweet performance on the Kids’ Choice Awards in 2018, being the youngest person to ever perform at the event. As an inspiration to so many young women around the world, JoJo’s message embodies confidence, having fun, and saying no to bullying.
Dance Moms & Abby Lee Dance Company
JoJo has been dancing, singing, and acting ever since her appearance in the second season of Abby’s Ultimate Dance Competition in 2013. Her and her mother, Jessalynn Siwa, quickly became known for their big personalities on the show. Although their charisma didn’t mingle well with the other contestants, it made the two stand out in the public eye. JoJo later went on to appear in two seasons of Dance Moms while also being asked to join the Abby Lee Dance Company.
JoJo gradually drew back from the dance scene and released her first hit, “Boomerang”, in 2016. The song’s message, conveying the dangers of cyberbullying, made this song a viral sensation because of its relevancy in today’s world. The next summer, JoJo followed up with a lighter and sweeter tune, “Kid In A Candy Store”. Fans could not get enough of JoJo and her new music, so much so that a “Kid In A Candy Store” singing doll was released.
The Famous Bow
One of JoJo’s stand-out characteristics has got to be her bows. The giant bow in her head has become a characterizing aspect to the star, who says that it symbolizes “power, confidence, believing-ness”. JoJo’s bows are even available for sale at Claire’s. They are so popular among school girls that certain schools have reported them as a disruption in the classroom!
JoJo even runs her own YouTube channel, JoJo Siwa’s Unlocked. Fans can follow JoJo’s everyday life as she posts content like learning to drive, creating a slime factory, and finding her puppy, Bow Bow.
