About Jason Aldean
Jason Aldean is among the top-selling male music artists in the country rock genre. Since the release of his self-titled debut album in 2005, he has produced a plethora of number one hits. These include classics such as ‘She’s Country,’ ‘Don’t You Wanna Stay’ and ‘My Kinda Party.’
Either as an opening act or as a headliner, this Georgia born artist has spent a major chunk of his career on the road. He is currently on tour in support of his latest music album ‘They Don’t Know’.
This is why Jason Aldean tickets are in high demand. The opening acts for his increasingly popular They Don’t Know Tour will be Kane Brown and Chris Young.
The good news for his fans is that Aldean is also recording some new material. The eighth studio record is expected to be completed by the end of the year. The artist may treat his fans with some of his new songs.
Early Days
Born in Macon, Georgia, on February 22, 1977, Jason Aldean was only three when his parents divorced. He was raised by his mother although he spent a lot of time with his father as well. It was during his summer stays with his father that Aldean began learning to play the guitar. His parents noticed his talent and encouraged him to pursue it on a professional level.
Aldean began performing on stage when he was fourteen years old. From local fairs to talent contests, his performances won him a lot of recognition. At fifteen, he joined a band called House Band and played in college towns in Florida, Georgia and Alabama.
The Big Break
Besides being a talented singer, Jason is also a gifted songwriter. He began wirting and recording songs while he was in his teens. He performed these songs at an event by the Atlanta nightclub called The Buckboard. It was here that he caught the attention of Michael Knox who belonged to the Warner-Chappell record company back then. Aldean signed a contract with the label and moved to Music City in 1998.
The deal however didn’t work out and Aldean was left discouraged. After a struggling period of three years when he was a few months away from giving up his dream, Jason was approached by the Broken Bow Records. His first single ‘Hicktown’ (from his debut self-titled album) hit the radio in 2005.
Although his early music releases did not get a favorable response, Aldean never looked back, rather worked on progressing and diversifying his style with each new record. Today his songs are staples in the country music genre and his shows are sold out in advance.
Career Highlights
Jason Aldean’s first two albums were not major hits. It was with his third album ‘Wide Open’ (2009) the artist hit the jackpot on the music charts. The album debuted at the second position on the US Top Country Albums chart while the songs ‘Big Green Tractor,’ ‘She’s Country’ and ‘The Truth’ became chart topping hits. The same year he was nominated for the CMT music awards in three different categories. Aldean also recorded a sold out live concert in Knoxville, Tennessee, in 2009 which was released later in the year as a DVD.
Some of the most successful albums of Aldean’s music career are ‘My Kinda Party,’ ‘Night Train’ and the latest ‘They Don’t Know.’
Awards & Achievements
In his illustrious 12-year music career, Jason Aldean has won numerous awards and accolades. These include Country Music Awards, Billboard Music Awards, People’s Choice Awards, CMT Music Awards as well as Academy of Country Music Awards.
Aldean won the Entertainer of the Year honor at the 2016 ACM Awards in Las Vegas and repeated the feat by winning it the next year in 2017.
Upcoming Projects
The reigning ACM Entertainer of the Year winner is currently on his They Don’t Know Tour. Besides performing live concerts, the singer is recording material for his upcoming music project. The title and release date of the new album has not been announced yet. However fans are eager to see what he has in store for them this time round.
