About I Prevail

Life on the Road with I Prevail: A Look Behind the Scenes

Michigan metalcore band, I Prevail, has been touring for a decade, but what is life really like on the road for this group of musicians? Vocalist Eric Vanlerberghe recently invited us backstage to give us a glimpse into the daily routine of the band before their London show.

For I Prevail, life on the road means living out of a tour bus and constantly being on the move. Vanlerberghe shared that the band travels with their own chef, who prepares meals for the band and crew using a mini-fridge and a hot plate. He also revealed that he brings his own cold cuts for sandwiches, as it can be difficult to find healthy food options while on tour.

While touring can be exhausting, Vanlerberghe shared that the band enjoys meeting new people and making new friends along the way. "We've made a lot of friends on the road, and it's always cool to see familiar faces in the crowd," he said.

However, life on the road is not always glamorous. Vanlerberghe admitted that their tour bus has broken down multiple times, causing delays and missed shows. "It's not always easy, but we try to make the best of it and keep a positive attitude," he said.

Despite the challenges, I Prevail's UK tour continues this week, with shows at London's O2 Academy Brixton lined up. The band will also be playing at Download Festival in June. For those who want to get a taste of what it's like to be on tour with I Prevail, be sure to catch one of their shows.

I Prevail History

I Prevail is an American rock band that was formed in Southfield, Michigan, in 2013. The band consists of Brian Burkheiser (lead vocals), Eric Vanlerberghe (unclean vocals), Steve Menoian (lead guitar), Dylan Bowman (rhythm guitar), and Gabe Helguera (drums). The band is known for its heavy theme, combining elements of metalcore, post-hardcore and alternative metal.

The band gained fame after their cover of Taylor Swift's "Blank Space" went viral on YouTube in 2014, and they have been rising in popularity since then. They released their debut EP, "Heart vs. Mind," in 2015, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart.

Their music focuses on themes of mental health, anxiety, and depression, and they often promote self-care and self-love in their songs. Their second album, "Trauma," was released in 2019 and was inspired by the personal struggles the band members had faced over the years.

I Prevail has performed at many live concert events, and their energetic performances and powerful lyrics have attracted a large and dedicated fanbase. Their shows are known for being high-energy, with mosh pits and crowd-surfing being common occurrences.

Fans of I Prevail often look for tickets to their live concerts weeks or months in advance, and the band's popularity has led to sold-out shows in many cities. The band has toured extensively in the United States, as well as internationally in Europe and Australia.

One of their most notable live concert events was their appearance at the 2017 Warped Tour. The band played on the main stage, and their performance was highly praised by both fans and critics. The band's performance included a surprise appearance by Pierce the Veil's Vic Fuentes, who joined them on stage to perform their hit song "Stuck in Your Head."

In addition to their live performances, I Prevail has also been involved in various charitable efforts. They have worked with organizations such as the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and the Make-A-Wish Foundation to raise awareness for mental health issues and help children with life-threatening illnesses.

I Prevail is a band that has achieved great success in a relatively short amount of time. Their powerful music and energetic live performances have earned them a dedicated fanbase, and their message of self-care and self-love has resonated with many people. Fans looking for tickets to their live concerts can look forward to an unforgettable and high-energy experience.
