Looks can be deceiving. And G-Eazy is a living proof of it. The 6-foot-four Caucasian male, dressed in black like John Travolta from Grease, with a hint of a young Elvis Presley, is the last person anyone would expect to be a contemporary rapper. But when he grabs a mic, he is without doubt a class hip hop act. With his trap rhythms and synths, he sets himself apart as a truly versatile rap icon. Having worked with multiple artists ranging from Lil Wayne to Britney Spears, the skill set of G-Eazy is vast.

Currently G-Eazy is ready for the Band Together Bay Area Benefit, the proceeds for which will go to the North Bay Firestorm victims. He will be performing alongside Metallica and Dave Matthews at the AT&T Park on the 9th of November, 2017. If you want to catch them live now or in the future, you have got to get your hands on these G Eazy tickets at the earliest.

From Gerald to G-Eazy

Born as Gerald Earl Gillum in 1989, G-Eazy is the son of a professor of art at the California State University. His mother is also an artist and teacher, who raised him and his younger brother alone after his parents split. Money was tight and they had to work for everything. Gillum attended the Berkeley High School, where he started realizing that music was his thing. Using music production software called Reason, he sold mixtapes for $5 each.

Career Beginnings and Early Music

G-Eazy started out as a record producer and worked on several singles while still enrolled in college. He started gaining some popularity after he became a part of the new hip hop scene in the East Bay Area. During the early 2008 and onwards,  G-Eazy became a member of the local hip hop group called “The Bay Boyz”.

Around 2010, G-Eazy had gained a substantial amount of popularity in the local music scene and was beginning to get noticed. His fame expanded when he was given the opportunity to open for some big artists like Snoop Dogg and Lil Wayne.

In August 2011, G-Eazy released a mixtape called The Endless Summer through his official site. Some songs from this mixtape, such as “Runaround Sue” managed to get a lot of hits on YouTube. The mixtape had guest appearances from multiple artists such as Erika Flowers, Greg Banks and Devon Baldwin.

G-Eazy began performing at various venues and went on the annual Vans Warped Tour and the Excellent Adventure Tour alongside Hoodie Allen.

In September 2012, G-Eazy released a full-length album Must Be Nice, free of any label. The album peaked at number 3 on the iTunes Hip-Hop Chart. Following this, G-Eazy got the opportunity to open for Lil Wayne on his “America’s Most Wanted Tour”.

In June 2014, G-Eazy released his first major label album called These Things Happen. The album was an instant success as it topped the US Billboard’s Hip-Hop and R&B chart as well as the Top Rap Albums charts. The album also went to the third spot on the Billboard 200 and the Top Digital Albums Chart. To date, These Things Happen has sold almost 265,000 copies. Following the release of this album, the rapper went on a sold out tour called “From the Bay to the Universe”, across multiple countries.

Further successes followed as the hip-hop artist continued to perform at a series of notable music festivals such as Electric Forest, Bonnaroo, Made in America, Outside Lands, Austin City Limits and Lollapalooza.

G-Eazy’s second album When It’s Dark Out hit the shelves in December 2015 and brought in more acclaim for the star. Soon after the release of this album, he launched his second world tour.

He also co-headlined a tour with the rapper Logic. The Endless Summer tour featured other artists as well, such as YG and Yo Gotti. In the summer of 2016, G-Eazy confirmed that he will appear on a Britney Spears’ track called “Make Me…”, which would be the lead single from her ninth album.

The Year 2017

2017 has so far been a great year for G-Eazy. He released an EP alongside the DJ Carnage. The EP called Step Brothers was released on 27th March, 2017 and was received well by the critics. He then released a new single with singer Kehlani, which was featured on The Fate of the Furious from The Fast and the Furious franchise.

In June 2017, the hip-hop artist announced that his new album will be called The Beautiful and Damned and will be released towards the end of 2017.

Awards and Achievements

In addition to landing work with the likes of Britney Spears and Lil Wayne, G-Eazy has achieved success in a very short amount of time. He was nominated for an MTV Europe Music Awards in the category of “Best Hip-Hop Artist” in 2016 and in 2017, won the “Favorite Hip-Hop Artist” award. Besides these awards, he has also made quite a name for himself in the fashion industry. He was named in GQ Magazine’s top 10 most stylish people at the New York Fashion Week.

G Eazy Tour Tickets

Lucky for the fans of the hip-hop artist, G Eazy tour tickets are now available for his upcoming shows. Having performed at sold-out concerts before as well, it is safe to assume that these tickets are not expected to last very long. With three studio albums already out and a fourth one on the way, G-Eazy is all set to make some waves in the music industry. His latest album, The Beautiful and Damned promises to be his most unique and raw work. Talking about this album, he said "the concept of it is kinda like its about the lifestyle, 'The Beautiful and Damned.' Like being a kid, having the dream of doing this, starting from square one, from outside looking in from without having nothing -- to chasing this dream, and then all these years down the road of following this yellow brick road trying to get to where you’re going, one day waking up and being like, ‘Did it take me where I wanted to go?’ This fantasy of, like, sex, drugs, & rock 'n' roll is kinda clichéd, but it’s clichéd for a reason. It's dark."

His unique hip-hop, pop-rap and hyphy sound is something to watch out for. So grab your G Eazy tickets at the earliest and get ready for the party of a lifetime!
