Flickerstick History
Flickerstick, an American rock band from Dallas, Texas, formed in 1997. The band originally comprised Brandon Schwartzel (bass guitar), Cory Morrow (guitar), and leading vocalist and guitarist, Tate Theus, along with drummer, David Geffert. The band gained national attention after winning the VH1 reality show 'Bands on the Run' in the early 2000s, which propelled them into the spotlight and helped them secure a recording deal with Epic Records. Their debut album, 'Welcoming Home the Astronauts,' released in 2001, featured popular singles such as 'Beautiful' and 'Smoky D. T.' The band's energetic and eclectic sound, combining elements of alternative rock and pop, captivated audiences. After several lineup changes and a brief hiatus, Flickerstick reunited in 2015 for a series of concerts, celebrating their legacy and introducing their music to a new generation of fans.
