Audrey Faith McGraw was born on September 21, 1967 in Ridgeland, Mississippi. She is one of the most prominent and most successful country singers right now. Hill currently has 5 Grammy Awards, 6 AMAs and 15 AMCAs. Most recently her work has been touring on the Soul2Soul Tour with her husband Tim McGraw.

Early Success in Country Music

Hill began her musical career as a country singer in 1993. She release her first album, “Take Me as I Am” in 1993. The studio album went three-times platinum. Her singles on the album “Wild One” and “Piece of My Heart” both reached number 1 on Billboard’s Hot Country Singles and Tracks. Her next album released on August 12, 1995 called “It Matters to Me”. The album went x4 platinum, and sold for over 4 million copies. For a period of time 5 of her songs were in five of the Top Ten hits for Hill on the Hot Country Songs charts.

In 1998 she released the album “Faith”. This album saw international success, as it topped the charts in Australia and the UK. The song was nominated for two Grammy Awards but lost them to “You’re Still the One” by Shania Twain.

Her album “Breathe”, was release the following year. It was released by Warner Bros. Records and won a Grammy Award for Best Country Album. Once again Hill’s songs topped the Country Charts. One of her main singles on the album “Breathe” reached the number two spot on Billboard Hot 100. The Billboard Hot 100 is the industry standard of singles released.

 In the 2000s, Faith released Cry (2002) and Fireflies (2005). Both of the albums were successful in the country music scene. In 2006, Faith began touring with Tim McGraw on their Soul2Soul Tour II. That tour began the most successful country music tour in history.

Outside of Music

Hill’s success carried out to other ventures throughout her life. She explored film and television early on in her career. In 1997, she began her first appearance on the show “Touched by an Angel”. She has appeared on Promise Land (1997), The Stepford Wives (2004), CMT Crossroads (2011), Dixieland (2015), and The Voice Season 11 (2016). She was also the Executive Producer of Pickler & Ben (2017).

Outside of the television and film industry she has released her own fragrances, and has had many philanthropic ventures.

Faith Hill and Tim McGraw began their Soul2Soul: The World Tour on April 7, 2017 and ended it on July 24, 2018. The tour encompassed 112 shows. 109 of those shows were in North America while the remaining 3 where in Europe.
