Pepperdine Waves Women's Basketball History
The Pepperdine Waves Women's Basketball program began in 1975 and has since become a pivotal part of Pepperdine University’s athletic identity. Initially competing in the Association of Intercollegiate Athletics for Women (AIAW), the program transitioned to NCAA Division I in the early 1980s. Throughout the years, the Waves have enjoyed various successes, particularly during the 1990s and early 2000s when they made several appearances in the NCAA Tournament.
