Festivals’ Brief History & Latest Development
Contrary to the popular belief, Country Thunder is not a festival but a brand which promotes country music by holding concerts all across North America. Craven Country Jamboree has a history of its own – formed in 1983 by Father Lucien Larre, it was established to raise funds for his Bosco Homes for emotionally disturbed youth.
How Its Staged
Irrespective of whether the country music is being celebrated in the US or Canada, Country Thunder concerts have multiple stages. The main stage is reserved for the most popular country star, while budding stars can be seen performing on other stages throughout the day. In this way, Country Thunder not only showcases the work of biggest stars in Nashville, but also those who will make it big in Nashville one day.
