Charlie Puth Tickets

Sorry, there are no events.

The power of internet and social media has made stars out of plenty of aspiring artists. Social media and video sharing websites have opened up new avenues for artists trying to make it in the music industry. Musicians can now reach the masses by simply uploading their songs and performances on to different website. No one knows that better than Charlie Puth.

The American musician started off by uploading videos on YouTube and that proved to be a very wise decision. He began to make an impact and caught the attention of plenty of people. Among them was Ellen DeGeneres. He will now head out on “The Voicenotes Tour” with Hailee Steinfeld as the special guest. It should be one of the most talked about tours of the year. If you want to be a part of the ride, then grab your Charlie Puth tickets and watch them perform in tandem.

The Early Grooming

Born in New Jersey’s area of Rumson, Charlie Puth was in a way always destined to become a musician. While his father was a real estate agent, his mother was a music teacher. It was Puth’s mother who first introduced her four year old son to classical music. She also started to teach her how to play the piano. By the time he was ten years old, Puth was studying jazz music and two years after that, he was performing as part of a young jazz group during the summers.

He was then brought onboard by The Count Basie Theatre to perform in a Charlie Brown production. When he was in sixth grade, Puth recorded and produced a holiday themed album which was titled “Have a Merry Charlie Christmas.” He went on a door-to-door campaign in order to promote it and managed to raise six hundred dollars.

A YouTube Star

Charlie Puth then got enrolled at the Berklee College of Music and graduated with a degree in music production and engineering. In September of 2009, he started his YouTube channel and named it “Charlies Vlogs.” He began to post acoustic covers and videos on the channel and then the next year, he uploaded the music video of his track These Are My Sexy Shades.

In December of 2010, Puth came out with his own EP titled “The Otto Tunes.” 2011 saw him win “Can You Sing?,” an online competition sponsored by Perez Hilton. He was now turning a lot of heads and Ellen DeGeneres signed him to her label “eleveneleven.” That arrangement did not last for too long and Puth left eleveneleven in late 2012.

Marvin Gaye and See You Again

Charlie Puth then released his next extended play titled “Ego” for online streaming. In early 2015, his hard work paid off and he signed with Atlantic. He celebrated the deal by releasing his debut single titled Marvin Gaye. The track turned out to be a massive hit. It went to the top spot in countries like the UK, New Zealand, Ireland and France. It also cracked the Top 5 in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Poland and Spain.

Marvin Gaye was certified double platinum in Canada, Australia and the United States. It also went platinum in the UK, Switzerland, Spain, Norway, New Zealand and Denmark. He then collaborated with Wiz Khalifa on the track See You Again which was a tribute to the late Paul Walker and featured on the original soundtrack of the movie “Furious 7.” The song went on to hit the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100, the US Mainstream Top 40 and the US Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs. It also reached the first spot in Sweden, Switzerland, UK, South Africa, New Zealand, Norway, Mexico, Ireland, Hungary, Denmark, Canada and Australia.

The song was certified nine times platinum in the US, five times platinum in Norway, five times platinum in Canada and five times platinum in Australia. It also went two times platinum in the UK and triple platinum in New Zealand. Its video hit the three billion view mark on YouTube on August 6, 2017, making it the second fastest video to achieve the feat. It received three Grammy nominations and won two Teen Choice Awards to go with one Critics Choice Award.

More Collaborations and Debut Album

Charlie Puth followed that up by collaborating with names like Trey Songz, Lil Wayne and Jason Derulo. He also worked with Meghan Trainor, Bonnie McKee and CeeLo Green on different projects. Charlie Puth then released his first studio album titled “Nine Track Mind” on January 29, 2016. The record peaked at the sixth spot on the US Billboard 200 and the UK Albums chart both.

It also charted in Switzerland, South Korea, Scotland, South Africa, France, Canada, Denmark and Australia among other countries. Nine Track Mind sold more than one million copies in the US and was certified platinum by the RIAA. It also went gold in the UK, Sweden, New Zealand and Denmark.
