Real die hard fans of pop punk from the early to mid 2000s will absolutely have to get themselves tickets to see Blink 182. The band practically invented if not perfected the genre and they can still rock out like it was only yesterday their first hit single was released. Blink 182 attracts a young-ish hip crowd who probably came of age when their music was first popular. They know all the words and they don’t hesitate to sing along with the band when the chorus comes up. Don’t expect to see former co-frontman Tom DeLonge anytime soon, Matt Skiba of Alkaline Trio takes over his duties for now. It doesn’t make too much of a difference, the band’s high energy and fantastic rapport with the crowd is all still there thanks to Mark Hoppus. He’ll no doubt be bouncing around on stage, getting the crowd jumping right along with him. A Blink 182 show is nothing if not a ton of fun for everyone involved. Drummer Travis Barker can still hold his own, tearing up drum solos and keeping the crowd thrumming.
