Born in 1996, Austin Harris Mahone was raised by his mother after his father passed away when he was just sixteen months old. Growing up in San Antonio, Texas, he was interested in music from the beginning and this passion led to him learning multiple instrumentals like, drums, guitar and keyboard. In 2010, Mahone thought of creating a YouTube channel where he would go on to upload his v-logs along with some covers of popular songs.
