The Amalie Arena (Formerly Tampa Bay Times Forum) is a sports and entertainment venue that is located in Tampa, Florida. It first opened in 1996, as the Ice Palace. Since then, this venue has earned an excellent reputation, consistently ranking as one of the best venues of its kind in the United States.
For starters, this 20,500 seat-arena has an 11,000 square-foot Bud Light party deck. This is the perfect spot to relax and grab a beer before the big game while enjoying a breathtaking view of the skyline. There is even a digital pipe organ, which features 5 keyboards, 42 different sounds, and a sound system that consists of a whopping 260 speakers! This venue has undergone a number of renovations and upgrades over the past few years, drastically improving many aspects of this facility.
The Amalie Arena is most widely known for being the home to the National Hockey League's Tampa Bay Lightning and the Arena Football League's Tampa Bay Storm. While these sports events are the most popular events, this versatile venue also hosts concerts, boxing matches, rodeos, wrestling events, and just about any other major event that is coming through the area.

Amalie Arena is located at 401 Channelside Dr. Tampa, FL. There are many different routes that you can take to get there, depending on where you are traveling from. At the Amalie Arena's official website you can find detailed directions that will tell you what the best possible route is. You could also skip driving, or park away from the venue, and then take public transportation. There are plenty of taxis, trolleys, buses, and limousines that will take you right to the Times Forum. This can save you time and money if you plan it properly.
There is plenty of on-site parking available if you do decide to drive. Each lot ranges in price from $15-$20, and they can be distinguished by color. There are 11 lots total – orange, red, yellow, brown, purple, green, silver, blue, pink, teal, and the South Regional Garage Lot. Make sure that you arrive early to guarantee a good spot. When in doubt, assume that there will be heavy vehicle and pedestrian traffic during major events. It is recommended that guests arrive at least an hour before the event.
