Luke Bryan Tickets

Growing up in Leesburg, Georgia, Luke Bryan was hooked to music at a very early age. His dad was a farmer and Bryan grew up listening to legends like Merle Haggard, Conway Twitty and George Strait.

His parents then gave him a guitar when he was only fourteen and it did not take him long to learn how to play the instrument. He developed his vocal talents and began performing for the first time during his high school days. That was when he basically decided he was going to become a country musician. It was a decision that would eventually put him among the ranks of the most sought after names on the circuit and Luke Bryan tickets into one of the hottest commodities in country music.

It did not happen for him straight away though and the reason had nothing to do with his talents.

Early Life and Influences

Luke Bryan’s music might predominantly be country, but you can see how growing up in Georgia has impacted his music. According to Bryan:

“Growing up in Georgia, it’s a diverse culture,” Bryan tells Radio.com. “I had black friends that introduced me to Dr. Dre and Eazy-E as a kid, as well as my friends who were listening to Pearl Jam and had skater haircuts. And here I am, all I was ever able to listen to was country.”

Even then Bryan cites the late Elvis Presley as his biggest inspiration. This is what he had to say about his love for “the King”:

“I’d be, like, four years old in my underwear singing Elvis songs!”

Once high school was over, Bryan decided to make the move to Nashville. But then tragedy struck his family. His older brother Chris died in a car accident. He just could not leave his family at that point in time and so Nashville was put on hold and Bryan got admission in Georgia Southern University.

Bryan began to write songs and perform in bars. The passion for making a career in music burned inside him. His father saw that and told Bryan to pack up his bags and move to Nashville.

Breakthrough and Recognition

Once in Nashville, it did not take him too long to land a contract with a publishing house as a songwriter. He worked with Travis Tritt on the title track of his album “My Honky Tonk History.” He also co-wrote “Good Directions,” the Billy Currington track then went on to top the charts.

Bryan used to perform at night in local bars and that is when someone from Capitol Records spotted him. That led to him being signed by the label. That was the big break Luke Bryan had been looking for and in 2007, he came out with his first album “I’ll Stay Me.” The record charted at the twenty fourth spot on the US Billboard 200 and on the second position on the US Billboard Country Albums. “I’ll Stay Me” was certified gold.

It was a more than decent start to his career and gave him enough motivation to carry on from there.

Notable Work and Album Releases

Luke Bryan then came out with his next album “Doin’ My Thing” two years later. It did better than its predecessor and peaked at the second spot on the U.S. Billboard Top Country Albums and at number sixth on the U.S. Billboard 200. The record also sold over a million copies to earn platinum certification.

Fans had to wait another couple of years for his next album, “Tailgates & Tanlines” and it was worth the wait. The record turned out be Bryan’s biggest hit to date. From the critics, it received three and a half stars out of five from AllMusic. The album went to the second spot on the US Billboard 200 and topped the US Billboard Country Albums. It was also certified quadruple platinum in the US and platinum in Canada.

Bryan then released “Crash My Party” in 2013. It went to debut at the top of the Billboard 200. It was certified double platinum not only in the United States but in Canada as well.

“Kill the Lights,” hit the music stores in 2015 and received four stars out of five from AllMusic and three and a half stars out of five from Billboard. The record went on to top the Billboard 200 and the US Top Country Albums. Not only that, but it also went to the top spot on the Australian Country Albums. “Kill the Lights” has been certified two times platinum in the US as well.
