Great American Ball Park is a baseball stadium located in Cincinnati, Ohio, and is home to Major League Baseball's Cincinnati Reds. The park was opened in 2003, and has already seen its share of memorable baseball events, as well as some non-sports events. This field has hosted a presidential rally, a concert by former Beatle Paul McCartney, and more. Dont miss out on the opportunity to experience live baseball action at the ball park with Cincinnati Reds tickets.
Although its name certainly has a patriotic connotation, the Great American Ball Park was actually named after the Great American Insurance Group, which purchased the naming rights. The park has been chosen to host the 2015 MLB All-Star Game. Although its capacity is 42,319 people, the stadium's maximum crowd was at the 2010 NLDS Game 3, on October 10, 2010. On this historic day, the stadium was packed with a whopping 44,599 people.
One of the most exciting features at Great American Ball Park is the Power Stacks. They’re two smokestacks designed to look similar to the old steamboats that would travel the Ohio River in the 19th and early 20th centuries. Whenever the Cincinnati Reds do something noteworthy like strike out a batter, hit a home run, or win, flames or fireworks will shoot out of the stacks.
